From the 1st May 2008 to the 30th November 2008, entries must be available in participating venues.
Entries must be an original drink.
They should consist of more than 3 ingredients.
Whitley Neill must be used as the base spirit.
All ingredients MUST come from a tree.
A tree is a perennial woody plant. It is most often defined as a woody plant that has secondary branches supported clear of the ground on a single main stem or trunk with clear apical dominance.
Liqueurs may be utilised regardless of their spirit base, so long as the dominant flavour comes from a tree.
Judges decisions are final. All ingredients must be ratified to ensure qualification.
Entrants selected for the final will be invited to come to a TBC venue to make their drink in front of a panel of judges.
Entrants are allowed 15 minutes to set-up.
Entrants must then make 2 of their drink within 7 minutes.
5% of all the proceeds from Whitley Neill Gin are donated to TREE AID. TREE AID supports rural Africans to meet their basic needs and secure income from Trees.
